Choose Acer vs Asus Laptop?

Get the asus, I've had 3 acer laptops and they all broke even though I took perfectly good care of them. The first acer overheated every 10 minutes and I took it to a repair shop and they said they couldn't fix it. The second one just stopped working and wouldn't come on even after buying a new battery. And the third one had the same problem as the first one. They are pretty much the same laptop.
